What is Computer Hardware?

Computer hardware, computer and similar equipment refers to physical components. Internal hardware device motherboards, hard drives and memory are included. External hardware devices monitors, keyboards, mice, printers and scanners are included. A computer's internal hardware components are often referred to as components, while the external hardware, peripheral equipment is generally called. Together, they all fall into the category of computer hardware. On the other hand, software, and applications are programs that run on computers. Because software is running on computer hardware, software programs often have a list of system requirements for the minimum hardware requirements for running software.
